Memory Verse

Last Friday, 20th of November 2015 as part of our Friday Worship, my 2 babies, Duke (aged 3) and Deuel (aged 2) recites their memory verse in a crowd for the very first time.

Not to brag but they are actually doing well in memorizing their memory verse each week. The only thing is that they will not recite it in front of other people.

It was in my surprise that these 2 willingly come with me and recite last Friday.

I give all the glory to God for this yet another milestone in my sons life.

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things - and the things that are not - to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God - that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let the one who boast boasts in the Lord."
I Corinthians 1:27-31

There is no credit that I would take for everything that the Lord is doing with our sons. Truly, it is only because of his grace that these two are blessed in so many ways. They bring pure joy in our lives everyday.

As I continue to ponder on these things, I was reminded on yet another verse in the bible:

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6

Indeed God's word are true. And its such a blessing to be live under his grace and mercy. Being able to be grounded by the words of God planted in our hearts, we were able to lead our children in best possible way we know.

I am not a perfect wife and mother. That's why I need a perfect God to teach and guide me in everything that I do. I pray that the Lord will continue to be patient with me in my foolishness. May he continue to sustain me with his wisdom.

It is such an honor to be chosen in the ministry of being wife and mother all the same time. But I do not fear! For I know that though I am not able, though I am weak, God is with me.

Therefore, I will not boast, rather, in my weaknesses I will magnify God's glory and will turn my boasting to praise and faith.
