Who Needs Miracles?

Our relationship with the Lord doesn't have to be based on miracles or super natural things.

The Bible gives us a simple instruction when it comes to our faith. Hebrews 11:1 states that, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see".

Hebrews 11:1
For the past weeks, I've been asking a very special request to God. Knowing people who have received a special gift to the Lord in seeing vision, gives me the desire to experience it as well.

I've known this matter for a very long time, but only as of this time that I have come to understand how important it is. As it is written in Proverbs 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he". God has shown me as well how wonderful is this gift.

I got chills thinking how it feels to see and talk to God face to face.

But, God deals with me in a very unexpected way.

Yesterday when I was preparing myself for the worship service in the afternoon, during my devotion, God gave me His words in 1 Peter 1:3-12 (Click to read).

At first, I couldn't understand what this passage were telling me. I don't even understand why He would give that passage since I was expecting something from the book of Psalm. Perhaps, my heart was not in tune with God.

I then prayed for humility and started seeking God. From my prayer God deals with me, changing my heart, teaching me to humble down and showing me what He's heart is.

As I read once more, this struck me. (see photo on the right, highlighted).

God is able to do great and marvelous things. He is no doubt an OMNIPOTENT God. But can we still believe and keep our faith without miracles or any super natural things?

God is looking to the genuineness of our faith. He wants us to continue to believe in Him and love Him despite of the things happening around us.

When we see poor people, our loved ones battling for cancer, small children being abused, war breakouts, virus and diseases spreading out all over the world and other unpleasant things going out in this world, we may ask "God, are You there?"

Yes, He is just there. Just believe that He has something better for everyone and in every situation. All you have to do is have faith, trust in Him that He is the God who is in control.

Then your faith will result in praise, glory and honor to Jesus Christ as you continue to let Him reveal his power and glory to you.

Just like verse 8 says, love the Lord even if you don't see Him. Believe in Him, then you will be filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy that only our God our Creator can give.

God is truly Amazing!!!
