A DAY WELL SPENT
Friday is the start of weekend in gulf countries. There were some fortunate employees who gets to have Friday and Saturday OFF but as for me and hubby we only have Friday OFF. So for me I’d rather spend this whole day having fun with families and friends rather than sitting at home and take rest. (Well, there were times when I like it that way but mostly I preferred going out)
Yesterday was for me is “a day well spent”. :)
I’ll tell you why…
Friday by the way is “church day”. Yesterday was not a normal Friday church day. It was a special day for the Youth in Ministry of our church. I was blessed to have been in-charge by the Lord to handle this adorable young lad and lass. We have been preparing for this day and praying that we could relay the message God has revealed to us.
I prepared myself that morning because I was assigned to read the scripture.
God did not fail me. I was actually prepared to read other passage from the book of Psalm but that morning God gave me Psalm 96:1-9.
Aside from the preaching that was delivered by our Pastor, one of the highlights of that celebration was the presentation of the Youth in Ministry. In which the plot I have written in my previous blog. (http://itsmeprincessjowee.blogspot.ae/2014/03/choice.html)

Late night practices paid off. It was like a text message, “Message Sent”. Ever since the 1st day we started practicing for this, our prayer is that we will be able to relay the message of God to our church congregation. And it was overwhelming to know that God answered our prayer.
Though it was not originally conceptualized. I still praise God for giving the youth great talents, wisdom and patience till the final practice.
Seeing this young people proves, God is fulfilling His plans for my life |

After that, we had our Basketball and Volleyball Tournament, organized by our local church. (We were actually doing this every year)

My team didn’t won, unfortunately. But I know, that will push us to perform well till our next game… till next Friday.
Yesterday we also celebrated the 31st birthday of my sister.
After the game, we sang to her the “happy birthday song” and as tradition we clap 31 times, which marks the 31st year of her existence.

Happy Birthday!!! |
I actually have other plans for her birthday which actually didn't materialize because of her schedule. So I asked our Ate to take a video message from her 2 son, Kuya Thomas & Basty. And this is what she got!
And she cried after watching this. :(
Such a brave sister I have! Willing to sacrifice her own happiness for the sake of her children. Something I am not willing to do. Nyaha!
And of course, my favorite part of the day is our “family shirt”.
TADAAA!!!
With my Boys :) This day is LOVE! Can't help but ask my sister to take our photo because of our shirt :) |
I’d never thought it could be this fun.
By the way, my sister’s cake was the best! I had to take home a small slice so that me and hubby could enjoy more.
Before going to bed, I prepared tea for me and hubby and of course, the cake.
Then its 1:30 am, hubby and I decided to sleep since the kids already slept in the car while on our way home.
Oooopppsss… Not yet for me, I need to wash my uniform for tomorrow. Ha-ha! The price of being a working mom and a wife.
Then come 2:10 am. Good night! :)
